Updates & Consent Agenda

B. Treasurer's Report: Checking Account balance is $341.56. Community Foundation balance is $637.31. Total assets are $978.87.
Unfinished Business
A. 2025 Strategic Plan/Calendar of Events.
Adopt-A-Street is planned for June 21 at 9 am.
President Jason Butterick has contacted Church of God Temple 3 and will continue to call until he makes contact with them.
President Butterick sent a reminder email about this meeting about a week prior to those still listed on the email list.
The April CONO meeting was cancelled due to weather.
New Business
A. City Government
Lacey Elzy was named Director of Economic and Community Development. Her cancelled program at the April CONO meeting will hopefully be rescheduled.
President Butterick has not reached out to Neighborhood Standards Director Mike Snearly but will soon.
Lacey Elzy was the City's Department of Transportation Director. It is unclear whether the position is vacant or not.
President Butterick was unable to attend the CONO Safety Panel in April due to work schedule.
President Butterick will reach out to various partners for Adopt-A-Street support.
B. Updates
We have a new family on 16th & Main. The Hords are their neighbors.
A family next door to Dixie has dogs being freely released without leashes and are not being cleaned up.
We have had shifts in rental. President Butterick is concerned that we continue to become an investor only neighborhood because houses are cheap and landlords can use any repairs as tax write-offs.
There is a traffic and safety concern website where you can login and pin your concern at different intersections. President Butterick has pinned the Prairie Avenue and East Avenue through 22nd intersections as needed attention.
President Butterick has noticed an increase in cars being parked on the Clokey Park property owned by the Decatur Park District. He recognized that it is due to limited parking for residents, but any further development should look at expanding parking rather than punishing neighbors.
